WFH ... The famous acronyms that are more recurrently than usual, maybe you already know its significance or maybe not, if not, this basically refers to "working from home". It is quite obvious why the appearance of this term has increased in many blogs -yes, coronavirus- in the last 4-5 months, so we have decided to write some tips related to the WFH process in order to be able to enjoy and improve it.

Creating a WFH setup requires planning and consideration, mostly when you have a limited space to create it but no worries, we have searched through interior designers professionals and we have taken their tips or factors to consider when creating a perfect setup, let’s begin!

Choose a calm place and apply 70-30 Split

Choosing the place where you want to establish the office is the first step you must do. When you work from home you can face a fairly constant problem that is distractions and noise, so to avoid this try to select a quiet isolated place where you can concentrate on your daily tasks.

If possible, experts recommend being near a window, this helps the best flow of ideas and also serves as a focal point to concentrate.

Now, how does 70-30 relate to this? Well, this is a very useful tip when decorating any room, whether is an office or any other area of the house. The 70-30 split consists of decorating 70% of the area with one style and the remaining 30% with a different style. For example, if you select a mid-century modern piece like an Egg chair and more details in this style, you should add the remaining 30% elements based on any other style; just as boho, industrial, minimalist, etc.

Implement the essentials around an anchor

Before selecting this you must know what your mood is, just then you can establish what your anchor will be. According to Leyden Lewis, an adjunct professor at The New York School of Interior Design and founder of his eponymous design studio, an anchor could be a fireplace or window, you can see it as a point to begin your decor.

Try to analyze your current architectural features and position your furniture in tactic ways in order to enhance or highlight the factors you had previously analyzed.

Now, in case you have a small place, don't worry! If you don't have an anchor like the one mentioned above, your anchor could be your own chair like the very eye-catching Egg chair, wall art, or even a friendly plant. The important thing here is to create a cohesive design where inspiration and source converge in the same place.

Note: the essentials vary according to the different occupations, but the normal ones are the desk and the chair, which will offer you support for the basic tasks of the job.
