I attended a routine consultation with my doctor the other day, and as I sit in his waiting room for him to finish up with another patient, I realize that I was overlooking how comfortable and extremely luxurious felt and look the sofa where I was sitting. So I turned around and to my surprise I recognized it almost immediately, realizing that I was enjoying a classic masterpiece, you probably already know what I'm talking about by the title…
Yes! I am talking about an LC3 sofa, a Le Corbusier furniture piece part of its LC Collection.
After that fleeting moment - I must mention that I am a great admirer of Le Corbusier furniture- I was a bit upset because I realized that sometimes life just passes in front of our eyes and we don't stop to fully enjoy art that crosses us from the front. So I decided to create an article talking about this great architect and designer to somehow pay tribute to his masterpieces.

Relevant facts you should know about Le Corbusier
Le Corbusier was a Swiss-born French-born as Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Gris on October 6, 1887. He was an architect and one of the pioneers of the so-called International school of architecture.
In his work he used special materials that distinguish him from other architects, he used steel and reinforced concrete and he worked with elementary geometric shapes. In addition to this, his paintings focused on clear forms and structures, showing the foundations of modernism itself.
A very interesting and motivational fact about Le Corbusier was that he didn’t attend formal academic education in architecture because he thought that school was boring at that time, so instead of going to school, he preferred to be autodidactic and learn from books and some gurus in architecture.
“I am anti-school. I am going to confess to you that I left school at 13 because schools were very mean in the past, they were no fun.”- Le Corbusier on BBC, 1951.
