Understand what ergonomic is by analyzing the LC2 chair structure!

Nowadays, we constantly see some terms, but perhaps sometimes we do not know what they are really about. When you read ergonomics, you may only think of office chairs, but the truth is, you don't need to be inside an office to enjoy the features of ergonomic products.

So, in order to first understand the term, let’s show you what this is really about.

According to International Ergonomics Association: “Ergonomics is the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data, and methods to design in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance.”

That said, when we talk about ergonomic furniture, they are those products that have been designed based on the aforementioned concept, which is basically related to comfort; functionality, and movement.

Now that we have shown what ergonomics is, it is time to show you a couple of chair models where the designers involved considered ergonomic concepts to create their structure.

LC2 Chair by Le Corbusier

This is the perfect example of a sophisticated ergonomic chair. Le Corbusier designed this entire collection called LC Collection in the company of Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, the trio designed this chair with the idea that it offered, in addition to an elegant structure, comfortable support for users, who were characterized by being workers who they would spend long hours sitting.

The LC2 chair not only has an ergonomic feature, it is also made of high-quality materials. This refined piece has to offer a magnificent natural shine due to the aniline leather used in its manufacture, this leather has the particularity of being made with high-quality skins or leathers. Responsible for its smoothness and natural appearance is that no sanding is used to process it, when treating it the manufacturers used transparent aniline dyes instead.

As for the cushions, they are filled with high-density foam, a suitable material for ergonomic chairs like this one.

Among all this, as it is a modern piece, one of the different characteristics of modern furniture has been included, which is the use of stainless steel in the structure. The legs of this chair are made of the aforementioned material, so you will not have to worry about how much weight you put on it because it is very resistant. Take a look at the details in the picture below:
